Frequently Asked Questions

PEMFs and Magnets: What’s the difference?
PEMFs are frequency-based, applied to either the whole body or parts of the body. PEMFs may only be needed for short periods of time, while the effects last for many hours, setting in motion cellular and whole-body changes to restore and maintain balance in metabolism and health. The body does not acclimate, or “get used to,” the healthy energy signals of therapeutic PEMFs, even if used for a long time, compared to magnets.
Is this Magnet Therapy
Many potential users think “Magnetic Resonance stimulation” means that there are magnets inside the whole body applicator. While people with chronic pain seek various magnet therapies, the iMRS technology creates an electromagnetic field that resonates with the same range of frequency as the earth and, hence, the same frequency as our cells.

Static magnets will never provide such a resonance effect. Pulsed Magnetic Resonance Stimulation is scientifically proven to achieve the most effective cellular regenerative cellular treatment.

Does Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) really work?
There have been over 10,000 studies including over 2,000 double blind, placebo controlled studies about PEMF technology. When it comes to formal scientific research, it is the most widely researched topic in all types of energy medicine. IT WORKS! The body does not acclimate, or “get used to,” the healthy energy signals of therapeutic PEMFs, even if used for a long time, compared to magnets. The effect of 1 application using the iMRS 2000 lasts up to 4-6 hours in healthy people.
Why is hydration important before and after a PEMF therapy?
Approximately 70% of our body is made up of water. When we are dehydrated cell function stagnates. Toxins and wastes build up. Healing is slowed. PEMF therapy is limited in what it can do if cells are dehydrated.
Will my health insurance cover PEMF?
No, health insurance policies do no currently cover PEMF treatments.
How many treatment sessions are needed to offer benefits (pain relief, increased healing, etc.)?
You may notice improvements after your 1st session; however, many conditions require a therapeutic trial of 6-10 sessions for full beneficial effects. Treatment response and number of sessions required can vary with each individual.
Do I need to consult my Doctor/Health Practitioner?
It is always advisable to consult your GP if your are suffering any undiagnosed pain or health condition. It may be a good idea to inform your GP that you are treating yourself with PEMF therapy to keep them up to date with your treatment. However, your doctor may not have a great deal of knowledge regarding the potential health benefits unless they specialise in musculo-skeletal conditions and are also familiar with PEMF therapy.
How often can I use PEMF therapy?
You can use PEMF therapy as often as you choose. Whether you use it once a day or once a week. PEMF treatment is a safe, easy to use and effective treatment with no negative side effects.
Are there any side effects?
There are no documented negative effects to using PEMF, this is because the technology operates within the frequency range that is similar to the Earth’s magnetic field. This frequency range has been described as the “biological window” of the body and creates the most effective response to the PEMF impulse. It is not possible to overdose with the PEMF iMRS therapy.
Can I use PEMF with other treatments?
There are no known contraindications when using PEMF therapy in conjunction with other therapies. In fact it will actually enhance the body’s ability to repair itself and will, therefore, compliment the other therapy and make it more effective. PEMF therapy can be safely used in conjunction with osteopathy, acupuncture, physiotherapy, massage and chiropractic treatments, in order to help improve your response to these treatments.
